Hotel Izulu Welcomes Grande Provence to its First KZN Wine Market
Submitted by: The P.R TeamHotel Izulu in Ballito is fast becoming known for its unique wine markets that have been conceptualised to create a platform for great South African wines to be showcased to the KZN public.
In conjunction with Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek, part of Huka Retreats, Hotel Izulu will host a Wine Market on Sunday, 29 July 2012. Guests can enjoy a day of food and wine pairing with these award-winning wines from 12:00 onwards, at a cost of R150.00 per person, with entertainment by the band ‘Afritude’.
Some of the food and wine pairing options are – Cajun crusted Norwegian salmon pan seared, served with a pineapple and lemon salsa paired with Grande Provence Sauvignon Blanc 2011 and creamy mussel, shrimp and snail casserole served with traditional ciabatta bread paired with Grande Provence Chardonnay 2010.
Further options include – Ostrich fillet with mixed berry chutney served on a pita crisp paired with Grande Provence Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, bresaola bruschetta with spicy sweet mustard sauced paired with Grande Provence Shiraz 2008 and stuffed chicken fillet with gorgonzola and caramelised figs paired with Grande Provence Pinot Noir 2010.
Kid’s selection includes burgers, hot dogs and ice cream cones. Hotel Izulu’s Deli will also offer soup, cheese boards, breads, biscuits and Hotel Izulu’s famous fudge.
All of the wines are available for purchase at a special reduced price by the bottle. Wine chillers are also available to purchase at R79 each.
