Autovrse Launches '#trainsafewithvr' Campaign

AutoVRse says it is transforming workplace safety by leveraging AI-powered VR training to help industries tackle DIRE scenarios — Dangerous, Impossible to recreate, Rare and Expensive. In high-risk environments like oil rigs, where a fire outbreak is impossible to simulate in real life, or pharmaceutical manufacturing, where a single mistake in drug formulation can lead to massive financial losses and safety risks, VR provides an immersive, risk-free way to train employees.
By recreating hazardous situations with unmatched realism, AutoVRse says it enables workers to practice emergency responses, refine technical skills and enhance safety compliance — ensuring industries operate more safely and efficiently.
Workplace accidents remain a major problem in high-risk industries like manufacturing, steel, cement and the production of medical equipment. In 2024 alone, the manufacturing sector reported 240 workplace accidents, resulting in over 400 fatalities and 850 serious injuries. Employees are often not sufficiently prepared for risky situations by traditional training methods, which calls for innovative approaches, says the company.
"Industries must reconsider their approach to safety training as industrial operations become more complex and dangerous," says Ashwin Jaishanker, CEO of AutoVRse. "Traditional methods struggle to replicate real-world dangers, while younger, digitally native employees prefer immersive, interactive learning experiences. VR training bridges this gap by providing a risk-free, engaging and effective way to practice safety protocols."
Studies have shown that VR-based training improves knowledge retention by 75% compared to conventional methods while cutting training time by 40%. Among Gen Z employees, interactive training programmes boast an engagement rate of over 90%, far exceeding the 30% engagement seen in traditional classroom training, adds the company.
Observed annually from 4 to 10 March, National Safety Week promotes workplace safety awareness and best practices across India. This effort is supported by the National Safety Council and key industrial stakeholders, says AutoVRse.
The company says its '#TrainSafeWithVR' campaign aligns with National Safety Week's 2025 theme: 'Empowering the Next Generation of Safety Leaders.'
As part of the initiative, AutoVRse says it is collaborating with major industrial companies to implement new immersive training programmes that address critical safety challenges in hazardous workspaces.
"With this campaign, we aim to set a new standard for industrial safety training. By leveraging VR technology, companies can ensure that every worker is better prepared, more confident and ultimately safer on the job," concludes Jaishanker.
