5FM says the Redhill Arts Festival (#RedFest2025) features live music, theatre, children's entertainment, a market, art exhibitions and a comedy festival.
"RedFest has always been about access, inspiration and community," says Joseph Gerassi, Executive Head of Redhill School and Festival Director. "It's where world-class acts meet emerging voices, and where families, artists and audiences come together to celebrate everything that makes the arts in South Africa so vibrant."

For 2025, RedFest has partnered with 5FM, a South African youth radio station.
5FM says it will bring its Top 40 hits, segments and personalities to the festival experience. The event will also be broadcast nationally via radio and worldwide via live streaming.
Festivalgoers can expect a live outdoor broadcast from the Village on Oval, featuring 5FM's Smash Afrika, as well as some engaging activations, says the radio station.
"This amplification through the top national youth station reinforces our vision of RedFest as a platform for connection, cultural celebration and national conversation," says Gerassi. "We're proud to work with a brand that shares our passion for youth, music and creativity."
Why RedFest Matters
RedFest is a platform – a place where emerging artists share stages with celebrated professionals, where diverse communities come together and where the arts are made accessible to all, says 5FM.
"Whether you're a theatre fan, a foodie, a parent, a shopper, or just someone looking for an unforgettable weekend – this is the place to be," says Gerassi.
RedFest2025 is a celebration of theatre, live music, art, literature, food, comedy and connection, adds the radio station.
