Super Sun Honours Everyday Heroes With Shop-To-Win Campaign Celebrating Moms Beyond Mother’s Day
Written by: Media Update Editor Save to Instapaper
"Very simply, 'moms' were the inspiration behind the campaign," says Phumzile Nhlapo, Premier Senior Brand Manager: Maize, Breakfast and Pasta.
Knowing that moms deserve more than a single day of appreciation, the campaign enables them to use their daily, weekly or monthly shop at their favourite retailers to potentially treat themselves and their families. Each one of their Super Sun staples now gives them a chance to win a well-deserved holiday or a daily financial boost: both things that can make all the difference, says the brand.
Shoppers who purchase Super Sun products — from maize and braaipap to instant porridge — earn entries into a prize draw, with more entries awarded for larger pack sizes. The prizes speak directly to the everyday needs of mothers. Cash rewards of R1 000 awarded each day will offer immediate financial relief for home responsibilities, while the grand prize promises a true break: R15 000 in shopping vouchers and a five-night stay at Sun City's Soho Hotel with R20 000 in spending money, says Super Sun.
"The campaign recognises that moms are doing the hard work every day," says Nhlapo. "They raise us to be the best we can be and build our futures. This campaign is our way of saying: we see you and appreciate you."
Nhlapo adds that this speaks to Super Sun's broader commitment to the well-being of South African families — starting at the centre of the home; with moms.
With winter settling in and the school holidays approaching, the Super Sun 'Super Together' campaign reminds us that care isn't seasonal. It's daily, says the brand.
"Each day is an opportunity to honour the people who care about us the most," concludes Nhlapo. "We're excited to extend the Mother's Day spirit well beyond May, giving moms and their families a chance to celebrate with us through the competition. Keep watching our social pages and website to find out more."
