Trace Africa Rebrands as Trace Ngoma to Champion South African Identity Through Homegrown Music and Culture

Anchored in the meaning of “Ngoma,” the rebrand focuses on homegrown genres including amapiano, Afro-pop, maskandi, hip-hop, gqom, lemkompo and gospel.

Trace Ngoma expands its commitment to South African talent with programming that highlights emerging artists, honours genre pioneers and celebrates grassroots cultural movements. Trace co-founder and CEO Olivier Laouchez describes the channel as “where music meets identity.”
