Sassa Announces Revised Grant Payment Dates Ahead of November 2026 Elections

In a statement on X (Twitter), the social security agency said the National Treasury approved the revised dates after consultations with Sassa and various stakeholders.
The Older Persons Grant for November will be paid on Friday, 30 October 2026; the Disability Grant on Monday, 2 November 2026; and the Children’s Grant on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
Beneficiaries whose grants are currently under review will receive a fourth-day payment on 5 November 2026.
Sassa said it revised the payment date to ensure social grant payments aren’t disrupted during the upcoming elections on 4 November 2026.
It further stressed that beneficiaries should not rush to its offices, as the grants will be paid on the indicated days during the elections.
