Merissa Himraj Appointed Managing Director of The MediaShop Cape Town Effective January 1 2026

In a post on LinkedIn, Chris Botha, group managing director at Park Advertising, announced her appointment.

"After 36 years on the Shoprite account and 26 years with The MediaShop, Bonita has decided to step aside. Bonita will be retiring as of the end of 2026. I have so much love for Bonita. She is a cornerstone of the success that we built. And she deserves the next chapter of her amazing career," says Botha.

Talking about Himraj, he says," Merissa and I worked together for many years before she went to WPP to really build a name for herself. She did so well there and built a powerful business. So for her to come “home” is super special for me. We are literally replacing one brilliant legend with another. What a privilege!"

He adds, "Join me in celebrating these two powerful women of the media industry!"
