Four Seasons Westcliff Elevates Luxury With New Ballroom And Destination Lounge Set To Open In 2025

Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Johannesburg has announced the opening of two new facilities: a grand ballroom in August 2025 and a destination lobby and lounge in September 2025. The developments form part of a US$25 million capital investment aimed at enhancing guest and event experiences at the property.
According to the hotel, the ballroom will be Johannesburg’s largest luxury event space with capacity for up to 400 guests. The venue will cater to a range of functions including weddings, corporate events and exhibitions. It will also offer views over the city’s urban forest and skyline.
This will complement the hotel’s existing 12 event venues, which currently accommodate groups ranging from four to 130 guests.
The new destination lobby will be located on the third floor, offering views over Forest Town, Saxonwold and Rosebank. The space will include a new lobby lounge and bar, seating up to 40 people, and feature an all-day dining concept open to guests and day visitors.
The redesign incorporates architectural elements referencing Johannesburg’s mining heritage, including metallic detailing and natural stone finishes.
The new additions are part of a broader refurbishment programme led by ASB Hospitality, which includes an update to the hotel’s signature restaurant, Flames. Chef d’ Cuisine Avuyile Fumba is spearheading a revised culinary direction for the restaurant.
