To celebrate the legacy and meaning of the number 10 for Messi both in football and life, Mastercard says it is launching the #MastercardMessi10Contest across multiple markets, inspiring fans to recognise the 'Number 10' in their own lives.
Fans are invited by Mastercard to submit a 10-second video nominating the person they believe is Messi's biggest fan for the opportunity to win a trip to Miami for a private meet and greet with Messi.
"This contest gives fans a platform to celebrate the personal stories behind their passion," says Kamini Redhi, Vice President of Area Marketing at Mastercard Africa. "At Mastercard, we are committed to creating unforgettable experiences for our cardholders. This initiative is a true reflection of our 'Priceless' ethos, connecting people to what they love in ways that are meaningful, unexpected and deeply human."
To enter, Mastercard says that Mastercard cardholders must post their short video on social media using the hashtag #MastercardMessi10Contest and submit it here.
Mastercard concludes that the contest runs from Wednesday, 11 June to Tuesday, 18 June, and winners will be chosen based on originality, creativity and enthusiasm.
