Johannesburg – The courts at the Padel & Social Club in James & Ethel Gray Park were buzzing this past weekend as ORT SA hosted its annual Padel Fundraiser 2025. With sunshine, blue skies, and 27°, the day delivered an unbeatable mix of sport, community, and celebration.
Players of all levels took to the vibrant green courts for high-energy matches, cheered on by families and friends enjoying the festive atmosphere. Spectators tucked into delicious breakfasts, smoothies, and post-game snacks, while even four-legged friends joined in the fun, winning spot prizes for “most personality.”
The excitement reached new heights during the lucky draw, where supporters walked away with prizes including a Nutribullets. But the true victory was the shared sense of togetherness and purpose as the community rallied behind ORT SA’s mission.

“Events like this remind us how powerful sport can be in bringing people together while making a tangible difference,” said Helene, Head of Department at ORT Jet. “Every rand raised goes back into empowering small businesses, creating jobs, and growing South Africa’s economy.”
This year’s fundraiser also marked a milestone, celebrating 20 years of ORT Jet’s commitment to supporting South African SMEs through mentorship, training, and networking.
The day would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. From Sheer Bliss Virtual Massage keeping participants relaxed, to Aquazania ensuring everyone stayed hydrated, and RJ Connect providing padel shirts and prize money, their contributions added to the day’s success.
Our thanks also go to 1721 Distributors for the incredible spot prizes. Mantis Security for their support, Padel & Social for hosting us at their world-class venue, Farrell Cohen Physiotherapy for keeping players in peak condition, Sasfin Wealth for contributing prize money, and Plastics Direct for sponsoring the trophies. Each sponsor played a key role in making the event memorable.
From thrilling rallies to prize giveaways, and from the courts to the sidelines, the ORT SA Padel Fundraiser once again proved it is more than just a tournament, it is a celebration of community, joy and impact.
Mark your calendars now - next year’s event promises to be even bigger, better, and more unforgettable.
