With the Indian Ocean as a backdrop and kilometres of pristine coastal forest, Renishaw Hills on the KZN South Coast is ideally situated for the Wildlife ACT Trail Run fundraiser, starting at Premier Resort Cutty Sark, Scottburgh on Sunday, 20 October. Participants running or walking this event will be contributing to the protection of local wildlife, an important ethos for Renishaw Hills and its residents.
“We are delighted to welcome new visitors to Renishaw Hills’ expansive coastal trails and showcase the incredible daily lifestyle our residents enjoy,” said Barto van der Merwe, Managing Director of Renishaw Property Developments, a subsidiary of Crookes Brothers Limited.
"Conservation and sustainable living are at the heart of our development, with 40 km of trails perfect for hiking, biking, and birdwatching. With the amazing biodiversity found here, and our residents’ contribution to conservation efforts, we are proud to support Wildlife ACT, an organisation dedicated to animal conservation.”
About Wildlife ACT
Wildlife ACT advances conservation through monitoring endangered wildlife species on game reserves. They run a wildlife volunteer programme, which allows conservation volunteers to contribute their time, effort, and funds to support these critical projects.
Teegan Whiteley, organiser of the Wildlife ACT fundraiser, shared: “We chose Renishaw Hills for its established trails that wind through indigenous forest and farmland, providing participants with a variety of beautiful landscapes to explore.”
Renishaw Hills is part of the 1,300ha Renishaw Coastal Precinct, where 80% of the land is being transformed into a conservation area, creating one of South Africa’s most unique developments with a harmonious blend of modern living and nature.
