Submitted by: Craig JarvisExciting Forecast For Weekend's Rip Curl GromSearch Scottburgh presented by The Blue Marlin Hotel
South Africa's young surfers are preparing to hit the waves at the upcoming Rip Curl GromSearch Junior Surfing Contest in Scottburgh. The event is set to take place from Friday, 31st March, to Sunday, 2nd April. It is open to surfers U12 to U18, with the U16 being the premier division. The contest is the third event in a five-part series, and the top four out of five results will count.
The Rip Curl GromSearch Junior Surfing Contest is known for attracting some of the best junior surfers in the country. The first two events experienced massive entries. The Scottburgh contest has proven to be the same, with entries closed a few weeks ago.
The contest will be held at Scottburgh Beach, known for its consistent waves and perfect conditions for surfing. Surfing enthusiasts are encouraged to come to Scottburgh Beach to catch the action live.
With the good swell and offshore winds forecast for the first day's competition, this premier right-hand point break will be busy on the opening day tomorrow.
Overall, the Rip Curl GromSearch Junior Surfing Contest promises to be an exciting event that should not be missed by surfing enthusiasts or anyone interested in watching the best young surfers in the country compete against each other in a friendly and competitive environment.
Live Heats will cover the contest, with live scores available throughout the event. You can find the heat schedule and the heatshere - liveheats
