Written by: Rosebank Mall Save to Instapaper
Get ready to run, walk or skip your way to making a real difference this October
Ready to turn the streets of Rosebank – and yourselves – pink? Rosebank Mall’s 5KM Pink Run is back on Saturday, 25 October 2025 at 7:00am – and it’s calling on Joburgers of all ages to lace up, show up and move for a cause that matters. Picture this: hundreds of people in varying shades of pink, music pumping, energy high, all united around an incredible cause. Sounds fun right? Get ready to run through a rainbow! This year’s event will feature vibrant bursts of powder showering down on you.
Rosebank Mall Marketing Manager, Angelisa Gengan commented: “The Pink Run has become something special for our community – a morning where fitness, fun and fundraising come together for an incredible cause. Watching participants of all ages unite around CANSA’s mission every year reminds us why we do this.”
Ready for Some Friendly Competition?
Pink Run is always about the journey so whether you’re a weekend warrior aiming for a personal best, a family looking for Saturday morning adventure, or someone who just wants to be part of something amazing, this event has your name on it. The best part? Every single step you take helps fund life-changing cancer research and support programmes.
Why not mix things up for your team build this year? Corporate teams can battle it out to see who can field the most participants, whilst friend groups can compete for the most creative pink outfits or wildest team themes. Think pink tutus, face paint, wigs or whatever makes you feel fabulous. The more outrageous, the better!
No Lycra Required – Just Bring Your Energy
Forget intimidating races where only serious athletes need apply. The Pink Run welcomes everyone from speed demons to leisurely strollers and toddlers in prams. Come as you are, wear as much pink as you dare, and prepare to be part of something special.
Don't forget to capture the moment – share your Pink Run photos and tag your mates to join the movement. Social media buzz helps spread the word about breast cancer awareness far beyond Rosebank's borders.
Your Money, Real Impact
At just R100 for adults and R80 for kids, it’s one of the most affordable ways to make a genuine impact whilst having a brilliant morning out. A portion of the ticket sales goes straight to CANSA, funding everything from cutting-edge research to early detection programmes and patient support. When you cross that finish line, you’ll know you’ve contributed to potentially saving lives.
“Working with CANSA, whose dedication to cancer patients and families is truly remarkable, remains one of our proudest partnerships. Our participants bring such energy and heart to this event – they’re the ones who make it extraordinary. We’re expecting this year to be our biggest and most impactful yet,” enthused Gengan.
CANSA’s work touches thousands of South African families every year, providing hope, support and practical help when it matters most. By showing up on 25 October, you’re showing up for them too.
Whether you finish first or last doesn’t matter – what matters is that you’re there, making noise, making friends and making a difference. Don’t wait – grab your tickets at: https://secure.onreg.com/onreg2/front/step1.php?id=7268
Registration closes on 20 October, so round up friends, family and colleagues for pre-run selfies.
