Kriya Gangiah combining her passion for sport, speed and excitement in a new direction as the recently announced star to host the Global Team Horse Racing (GTH) 2022 season! Kriya has been involved in television and radio for over a decade and has more recently made a name for herself in the fast-paced sports world as a Formula 1 commentator and with the launch of her new podcast, F1: Track This.
GTH, has reimagined the sport of horse racing, creating interest for a new breed of fans by creating a fast-paced, easy to understand and hugely entertaining experience. What makes this event special, is that it is the first in the world where races are run under lights, in just two hours and where riders compete in teams that go head-to-head in a series of events that take place over four weeks that will ultimately decide the series champion.
The race meetings are action-packed with no more than fifteen minutes between races, making it an energetic event for the whole family. The short breaks are packed full of thrilling entertainment to keep fans fully engaged until the next race.
As a fan of horseracing, Kriya is thrilled to serve as host for the four-night extravaganza which kicks off on Friday, 5 August 2022 at the Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse in Durban. “I have always enjoyed a day at the races. The glitz, the atmosphere and the energy feed my soul and to be a part of this new era of horse racing is a true honour,” says Kriya. “This format is not only family friendly but will definitely create a whole new generation of fans.”
