Hundreds of Runners Enjoy First-Ever Crocworld Trail Run

Crocworld Conservation Centre in Scottburgh welcomed more than 200 runners for the first-ever Crocworld Trail Run on Sunday, 26 April 2026. Hosted in partnership with KZN Trail Running, the event treated runners to 5km, 10km, and 20km routes, with David Lamont (1:35:37) taking first place in the long course, and Romy Wenzel (1:41:04) taking the women’s title (full results available at https://kzntrailrunning.co.za/results/).

“This was another cracker of an event,” said Jason Scott of Badger’s Cycling and Sports Centre, recently opened at Crocworld. “The highlight was definitely the course, with everyone commenting on how unique, technical, and engaging it was. We’ve purpose-built every step of the trail with runners and riders in mind, and we’re only just getting started.”

This event marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Crocworld as it continues to grow into a leading outdoor adventure hub that blends conservation with active-lifestyle experiences.
