GET THE POWER TO BEAT YOUR BEST WITH POWERADE!

Powerade, the official hydration partner of the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon and the Cape Town Cycle Tour, has signed-up some of South Africa’s foremost running, cycling and training experts to challenge athletes to beat their best in 2017.  

Athletes across the country will be given the opportunity to sign-up for The Power to Beat Your Best, presented by Powerade. This includes an ongoing series of exclusive training tips and hints from the likes of former Two Oceans Marathon and Comrades Marathon champion, Caroline Wostmann; renowned mental coach Tom Dawson-Squibb and recent Exxaro Jersey winner at the world’s toughest mountain bike race, the Absa Cape Epic, William Mokgopo.  

Caroline Wostmann commented, “I was so excited to have received the call from Powerade to help people across SA achieve their fitness goals.  Whether you are an elite athlete or just looking to increase your fitness, everyone should be setting goals and looking to outperform themselves.  I hope that through the Power to Beat Your Best, we will be able to set athletes on the path to doing just that.”  

Powerade’s ‘Power to Beat Your Best’ aims to provide athletes with the tools to achieve a personal best time in 2017.  Those who sign-up will have the choice to receive either running specific content from Wostmann or Cycling specific content from Mokgopo, both supplemented with tips to build your mental strength from former Sharks, Stormers and Ajax Cape Town mental coach, Dawson-Squibb.   

In addition to receiving insightful training tips, if you improve on your benchmarked time, you stand a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to run in the Powerade Monterrey Marathon in Mexico or cycle in the Granfondo Campagnolo Roma in Italy*.
