Kerio Control v9.3 delivers high availability and fail-over production One software license covers two pieces of hardware Johannesburg, South Africa, March 2019: Kerio Control v9.3 is to be launched on 09 April 2019 with high availability and fail-over production. Improvements to the platform also include a new VPN (virtual private network) encryption key with AES, more than 40% VPN speed improvements, and improved IPS throughput.

Customers looking to initiate the high-availability feature will have to install a second Kerio Control appliance or virtual machine. Customers can then configure the second device as a clone of the active device using simple and accessible configuration settings. A single software license will cover both pieces of hardware.

“The launch of Kerio Control v9.3 will be supported by a webinar that will provide customers with more information around the product and the high availability feature,” says Henk Olivier, MD, Ozone Information Technology Distribution. “There will also be release notes published in the GFI Upgrade Centre, along with the upgrade itself, as of 09 April.”

Rising to the top: how muffins make a difference

Published: 18 October 2018

The Emthonjeni informal settlement in Zandspruit is part of F.A.C.T., a project focused on reaching out to the most vulnerable.

The goal is to improve quality of life without uprooting people’s lives.  As part of its commitment to making a difference through hands-on support and community upliftment, Ozone Information Technology Solutions, leading South African channel partner and distributor, works closely with the organisation and the Emthonjeni community.

“We support Emthonjeni residents in a muffin project that allows us to consistently donate around R2,000 every month,” says Henk Olivier, MD, Ozone Information Technology Solutions.

“These muffins are made and sold within the community at R1.50 per muffin but it costs them R3 per muffin to make. We have stepped in to cover the shortfall.” The project is set to remain a part of Ozone’s focused commitment towards uplifting communities and people and, to date, F.A.C.T. has provided the Emthonjeni community with 59 995 meals.
