Signium Africa proudly announces the appointment of Annelize van Rensburg as Leader of the Global Consumer Goods and Services Practice.  She celebrates twenty years of executive search as one of the founding members of Talent Africa that became Signium Africa in 2017.

Annelize is fulfilling a critical role as successful practice groups are a key part of Signium’s strategy and Consumer Goods and Services accounts for more than 25% of Signium’s searches globally. Annelize takes over from Frances Kelly who made a valuable contribution to the structure and quality of thought-leadership content on the global website.

POLYSTYRENE ASSOCIATION WELCOMES NEW PROJECT COORDINATOR FOR BREADTAGS FOR WHEELCHAIRS PROJECT

The Polystyrene Association has appointed Patricia February as Project Coordinator for its rapidly growing Breadtags for Wheelchairs Project.

Patricia will be based full time at the Association’s offices in Stellenbosch and will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing the queries from collectors and coordinators as well as oversee the logical process of getting the polystyrene collected to recyclers who are based around the country.

She is no stranger to administration and office management, having worked in the hospitality industry overseas and in recruitment prior to joining the Polystyrene Association at the beginning of April 2018.

“I am very grateful and excited about this amazing opportunity. Although it is a completely new and different environment for me, I am finding it to be very interesting. I am looking forward to working with new people and building good relations with everyone involved,” she says.

Patricia has been married for 11 years and is the proud mother of Lyle (aged 10) and Mia (aged 3). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and describes cooking as her passion.

New Talent Manager for Promise Group

Integrated through-the-line agency Promise Group continues to strengthen its management team with the appointment of Naomi Hoogeweegen as its new Talent Manager with effect 1 December 2017.

This follows the recognition of the importance of the HR function as a strategic business partner within the organisation as we continue to grow our business says, Managing Director of Promise Group, Craig du Preez.

“Hoogeweegen’s appointment signals a new era of growth within the Promise Group, as we take the lead to develop our HR department that will help us with recruitment and selection of new talent as well as play a role in the development of our workforce as we continue to grow our staff numbers”, adds du Preez.

A Marketing graduate of the IMM Graduate School, Hoogeweegen began her trade working for external recruitment agencies and was later approached by Publicis Africa Group to join their recruitment team as an internal Talent Acquisition specialist, where over the past two years she has assisted over 25 Advertising Agencies across SA with their recruitment needs.

“After completing my degree, I realised my love for the Advertising & Marketing space and ended up gravitating towards a people-centric role within the industry”, adds Hoogeweegan.

Looking forward to taking the next step in her career with Promise as Talent Manager, Hoogeweegen is thrilled about the opportunity to join Promise and to become fully immersed within the agency and all Talent management related needs.
