A creative tool for a creative industry

How does fashion design of the future look like? What is the result of a combination of fashion and technology?

The laser is a highly versatile system with a great deal of design freedom and the ability to process a wide array of materials. Whether you are engraving velvet or creating extravagant contour cuts on leather or polyester, the laser can accomplish virtually any design.

Why buy a laser for textile processing?

Thanks to faster processing speeds for variable data, each piece can be unique even in series production.

Moreover the laser beam melts the material. Single-layer fabrics can be cut faster and therefore more productively with a laser than with a knife.

Laser processing is a non-contact, tool-free process. The textiles and fabrics are not touched during laser cutting; as a result, the material is not warped. The laser beam melts the material and the results are clean, perfectly sealed edges.

Trotec Presents New SP2000 Large Format Laser Cutter

Published: 19 May 2017

Make your production more efficient

The SP2000 is the newest member of Trotec's SP laser cutter series. The system was designed for large format materials, including acrylics, wood, textiles, cardboard and many more. Being the little counterpart of SP3000, the SP2000 laser cutter was developed with a working area of 1.680 x 2.510 mm, giving it an optimised footprint, and making it ideal for applications that can be processed with the SP3000, but require less space.

Outstanding working area with access on four sides

The SP2000 is easy to access from all four sides. It also features a 1.800 mm wide loading opening at the front and the rear, and laser power up to 400 watts. This design allows unrestricted unloading and loading even while the machine is cutting. This setup will drive your productivity.

Multi-functional Table Concept

Trotec has developed a unique, multi-functional table concept for the laser systems of the Speedy and SP Series. The multi-functional table concept allows you to quickly and easily change the table to meet your application needs.
