First ever non restrictive, highly affordable Food Franchises available nationwide

Published: 20 November 2018

FOOD HUBS SA DO NOT have any stores available for trading such as is the case with other Franchise set ups – we set up each store together with our Franchisees as per their individual requirements and budget.

Franchises are inundated with rogue operators and fees that are highly over priced and beyond the financial reach of the ordinary citizen striving to start up a restaurant of their own.  We offer select applicants a Franchise to operate once they decide on their choice of QSR, location, complete an application and follow up with an email and application procedure. Behind every one of our QSR opportunities be our Franchisees—fuelled by entrepreneurial spirits for building their business and communities. We are looking for those leaders, both the people who want to make a difference where they live and those who want to put down new roots to introduce our restaurants to the places we’ve never been before.

INCLUDED:

  • Unrivalled, customizable store design
  • QSR’s base menu, equipment, training and support
  • Seasonal promotions
  • Proprietary equipment and fixture package
  • Exclusive and comprehensive QSR food training program
  • Ongoing expertise, consulting and support including onsite visits

OUR FLEXIBLE ENTERPRISE FRANCHISE IN A NUTSHELL:

Each FRANCHISEE is afforded the freedom to transform their QSR into an operation suited to their culture, location, skills, personality and in so doing will ensure their business grows from strength to strength

My Menu

Every menu is unique, providing a locally tailored solution to amplify your profitability using our base menu as a foundation from which to start off with.  There are no restrictions to adding menu items to the existing menu to enhance sales as long as these additions are communicated to the FRANCHISOR.

My Culture

You, as the FRANCHISEE, are the added element that connects with your community and makes your QSR unique.

My Design

Every QSR is tailor built to be welcoming, cosy and attractive.

My Support

You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself. We have the system to help you grow. The journey to becoming a FRANCHISEE is deliberately detailed, as we are entering into a long term relationship based on mutual respect and trust. We work together to ensure that our goals and values are aligned.Once everything is up and running, you may find that there are areas that you could improve, things you can do better and other products you could sell. South African Airways Increases Capacity to African Destinations by 17%

Published: 22 January 2015

South African Airways has begun the process of adding additional flights between Johannesburg and popular African destinations. This increase in flight capacity has increased frequencies by 17%.

Johannesburg, South Africa –South African Airways (SAA) has announced that it has begun the process of adding additional frequencies to its network which will substantially increase air services to some of its key African routes.

The additional capacity injection answers the commercial mandate of the Long-Term Turnaround Strategy (LTTS), and is in response to positive market growth and demand.  As of yesterday, Harare (Zimbabwe) and Maputo (Mozambique) have included additional frequencies, with Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Harare (Zimbabwe) and Mauritius to follow.“

The strengthening of these routes comes in the wake of positive load factors and increased traffic between the countries,” says SAA Acting Chief Executive Officer Nico Bezuidenhout. Presently, GDP growth in Mozambique (7% - African Development Bank) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (8.1%- African Development Bank) exceed World Bank growth statistics for the continent (4.7%-2013) while South Africa’s trade and demand for leisure and business travel to Mauritius is growing at a steady pace. “Air lift services traditionally lead GDP in all markets and also track the rate of increased leisure travel, investment and business engagement between South Africa and its continental peers.”

Operative from 1 December, SAA increased frequencies between Johannesburg and Maputo by 19%. The flights increased from 17 to 21 weekly frequencies while flights between Johannesburg and Harare increased from 18 to 19 every week (5%). From  4 December, flights between Johannesburg and Kinshasa will increase in capacity from 6 to 7 a week (6%) and, flights between Johannesburg and Mauritius from 9 to 10 weekly frequencies (9%). Updated schedules are available across all SAA distribution channels, including the website www.flysaa.com.

Regionally SAA offers 24 destinations across the African continent and its international network creates links to all major continents from South Africa through 10 direct routes. Asking For It? | an exhibition by Maria Patrizi at StateoftheART

Published: 10 October 2014

StateoftheART is proud to present 'Asking For It?' an exhibition of paintings by Maria Patrizi on the Exhibition Wall.

This series of work is the artist's response to the excuse often given that clothes are responsible for rape. Women displaying their femininity and/or sensuality, are considered to be handing out open invitations to being verbally or sexually abused.

"By moulding clothing into evocative and anonymous female forms, the artist has given the clothes a voice, "we are just clothes, so what exactly are we asking for?"" - Maria Patrizi

Patrizi's work has often been compared to photographic negatives. "At first the comparison surprised me but after some thought, I couldn't believe I hadn't made the connection myself" she says.

The starting point for all her paintings are photographs that she have taken and then manipulated. De-cluttering and reducing the images so that she can focus solely on the shapes she finds relevant.

WILD & STILL: expressions of the landscape | an exhibition by Janet Botes, with introduction by Strijdom van der Merwe, opening 5th June @6pm

Published: 10 May 2014

PRESS RELEASE
12 May 2014

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

StateoftheART is proud to present "WILD & STILL: expressions of the landscape", an exhibition of mixed media, digital art, drawing and sculptural pieces by Janet Botes.

At a time of turmoil and ennui within the current political and social landscape of our country, Janet has chosen to explore personal and emotional responses in the context of  our environment. 'Wild & Still' refers to this duality; personal responses of fear versus contemplation and appreciation for nature - whilst  alluding to these characteristics within ourselves, as individuals.

"the revolution or emancipation of a country starts with the voluntary changing of the individual's mindset" - Vivien Kohler

Janet's work is inspired by her own reaction and relationship to nature - but also informed by happenings and issues in environmental justice and sustainable development. 'Wildness' as referred to in this exhibition represents the sheer power and awe of water - waves crashing onto the beach, a storm raging in the sky. 'Stillness' is encapsulated in the curve of a shell, in the silent beauty of mist and the details of an insect’s wing.

"I believe that if one can really appreciate or see beauty in all aspects of nature, accept the 'wildness' and create 'stillness' within ourselves, we'd have a more compassionate interaction within our daily lives, and contribute to humanity in a collective revolution" - Janet Botes
