The South African Civil Aviation Authority, in partnership with the National Department of Transport, is hosting an aviation transformation conference themed, “You too can play your part”.
The Minister of Transport, Mr Fikile Mbalula (MP), is expected to attend.
The event is aimed at showcasing and celebrating initiatives undertaken by members of the aviation industry to advance equity in aviation and thus contribute to the inclusive growth of the industry. The event also seeks to encourage the industry to reflect on and continue its efforts towards the country’s transformation goals in line with the demographics of the country.
The aviation industry has in the past two years, been faced with a myriad of challenges because of the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic; however, many organisations continue to support communities, empower their employees, and create special programmes to realise transformation goals, as espoused by the South African government.
