The Stage is Set - Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts announces an explosive new season line-up

The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts return with an electrifying line-up that brings together legendary icons, global stars and South Africa’s hottest rising talent. From Afro-soul and indie-folk to desert blues, house and full orchestras, this is the ultimate soundtrack to summer in the city.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Table Mountain, the Kirstenbosch stage transforms every Sunday to an unforgettable celebration of music and community. Gates will open from 16:00 and performances are set to start from 17:15, unless otherwise stated.
The Line-Up:
- South Africa’s favourite pop music trio,Mi Casa, will launch the season in style, lighting the stage up with soulful vocals, jazzy trumpet riffs and irresistible grooves on 23 November 2025.
- Prime Circle & Jesse Cleggwill bring rock anthems and heartfelt hits in a powerhouse showcase. Save the date: 30 November 2025.
- Afrikaans rock royalty returns to the Kirstenbosch stage as Karen Zoid & Francois van Cokecelebrate the 10thanniversary of their hit duet “Toe Vind Ek Jou” on 7 December 2025.
- Two of South Africa’s most distinctive voices, Bongeziwe Mabandla & Matthew Field, will share the stage for an unforgettable blend of soul and song on 14 December 2025.
- Join the viral sensation and crowd favourite The Kiffnessfor irresistible beats and big, brassy fun on 28 December 2025.
- Iconic pop-kwela meets timeless piano classics when Mango Groove and The Billy Joel Experience take the stage, on New Year’s Eve. Concert-goers may bring their own alcohol as none will be sold on site.
- Cape Town’s global electronic stars, Goldfish, return to turn the venue into the city’s biggest dance floor on 4 January 2026. Don’t miss out!
- On 11 January 2025, The Greatest Love of All starring Belinda Davidsis set to deliver a breathtaking tribute to Whitney Houston, giving goosebump moments in the afternoon glow.
- Look forward to Afro-pop joy meets soulful new age R&B in this unmissable Freshlyground & Mananadouble bill, on 18 January 2026.
- On 25 January 2026, Bombinobrings Desert blues from Niger to a breathtaking Cape Town sunset, igniting the stage with Tuareg rhythms.
- Enjoy a Latin American vibe as the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, joined by German bandoneon specialist Lothar Henzel brings a selection of Astor Piazzolla’s fabulous tangoes from Adios Nonino to Libertangoon 1 February 2025.
- Msaki & The ALT BLK Collectivesoulful, genre-defying brilliance to the Kirstenbosch stage, on 8 February 2026.
- The folk-pop favourite, Jeremy Loops, brings infectious energy, loop pedal mastery and songs built for summer sunsets on 15 February 2025.
- Vusi Mahlasela & Jabulile Majola: On 22 February 2026, the legendary Voice joins forces with a rising star in a cross-generational sonic conversation.
- Derek Gripper & the Kyle Sheperd Triohave prepared a world-class showcase where virtuosic guitar meets trailblazing Jazz for music-lovers on 1 March 2026.
- Expect chart-topping, indie-pop anthems packed with a singalong spirit to the Summer Sunset Concerts stage when Matthew Moletakes the stage on 8 March 2026.
- Commanding the stage with fire, rhythm and resonance, Afro-soul powerhouse, Thandiswa Mazwai, will be lighting up the Kirstenbosch stage on 15 March 2026.
- Rising pop sensations Will Linley and Ben Rodriguesto brings feel-good hits and fresh energy to the Kirstenbosch stage on 22 March 2026.
- Step into family-friendly orchestral festivities at the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s children’s concert on 29 March 2026, featuring Peter and the Wolf, as well as pieces fromFrozen and Star Wars.

The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are an essential Cape Town tradition, where world-class talent meets one of the most iconic outdoor venues on earth. From barefoot stomping to electrifying beats to swaying to symphonic brilliance, every Sunday brings a new headline experience to look forward to.
“The Summer Sunset Concerts are about connection, joy and the beauty of experiencing good music in harmony with nature,” says Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden’s Events and Tourism Manager, Sarah Struys, “This year’s line-up is possibly our most exciting yet, with something for everyone. Whether you come to dance, sing along or simply soak up the atmosphere, you’ll be part of a Cape Town tradition that grows from strength to strength each year.”
Tickets are limited and sell fast, secure yours on Webtickets – our ONLY ticketing partner – or the Kirstenbosch Ticket Office at R360 for adults,R225 for youth aged 6 to 21 years and children 0 to 5 years enter free! New Year’s Eve concert tickets cost R540.
Keep your picnic baskets and blankets within reach and prepare for a summer of music like no other. As always, the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts are non-smoking events. Concert goers may bring a picnic, including alcoholic beverages. There are no alcohol sales onsite at Kirstenbosch, but food will be sold at the venue.
