Nothing put a dampener on this past weekend at the Pavilion Shopping Centre’s East meets West Bridal Fair where many a visitor flocked to the Centre to catch all the bridal action from the bespoke fashion shows to over 40 exhibitors offering their expertise from makeup to photography experts.

However, the real winner was Jenette Govender a 29 year old Woodview resident who walked off with the grand prize of a wedding valued at over R150 000 which includes a wedding venue (The Venue-Shongweni), a photoshoot (Toxic Micz Productions), bridal wear (Wedding Whispers), Décor Hire (A2Z Event Specialists) and a bridal package (The Bridal Factor).

Govender was so over the moon with her win and stated that together she and her fiancé Sefton Murugan were grateful to all the competition sponsors involved. She added that this lifted a huge financial weight off their shoulders and alleviated quite a bit of stress to the build-up to their big day earmarked for early 2023.
