Ster-Kinekor is thrilled to announce the exclusive screening of GRAMMY®-winning Icelandic-Chinese artist Laufey’s debut concert film, A Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl. This extraordinary musical event will be shown for two screenings only on 6 and 8 December 2024 at Ster-Kinekor Eastgate in Johannesburg and Ster-Kinekor V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

A Captivating Cinematic Experience

Laufey’s A Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl, directed by Sam Wrench (Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour), takes audiences on a mesmerising musical journey. Filmed in her adopted hometown of Los Angeles, Laufey performs alongside the legendary Los Angeles Philharmonic at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, a venue graced by her jazz idol, Ella Fitzgerald.

Laufey, described as a "Gen Z It Girl" by The New York Times, has risen to international stardom with her trailblazing blend of jazz and classical music. Following the success of her sophomore album Bewitched, which debuted at #2 globally on Spotify and earned her a GRAMMY® for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, Laufey has performed sold-out shows worldwide, including at Radio City Music Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Sydney Opera House.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to present my music with the LA Philharmonic. To share this experience beyond the Hollywood Bowl is incredibly meaningful,” Laufey shared.
