KPop Demon Hunters brings pop culture energy to trading cards

Inspired by the global Netflix entertainment phenomenon, KPop Demon Hunters brings its high-energy world of music, style, friendship and supernatural action into collectible card form. For fans of the franchise, it offers a new way to engage with favourite characters and moments. For collectors, it brings the chase, the artwork and the possibility of pulling something special.
Collectors can look forward to two product ranges. The Energy Edition is designed for fans looking to start or build their collection, with character cards and memorable moments from the franchise. The Classic Edition adds another layer of collectability, with premium card treatments and exciting chase opportunities for dedicated fans and collectors.
The launch also speaks to the growing appetite for trading cards in South Africa. Once seen largely as playground currency or niche hobby store treasure, the appeal of collectible cards has grown with the hobby becoming a larger lifestyle category in recent years.
“We’re seeing a big growth in collectible cards in South Africa, with the hobby becoming a big part of pop culture. Collecting, trading and playing is no longer a niche experience, and with that we are seeing more brands enter the market, which brings variety and excitement,” says Alex Irwin of Solarpop. “KPop Demon Hunters works beautifully in collectible card form – it’s colourful and character-driven, and fans won’t be disappointed.”
