Hip-Hop Heavyweight Nasty C & R&B Sensation Tellaman Announce Highly Anticipated Joint Album ‘T’s & C’s Apply’

Two of Africa’s most influential contemporary voices, multi-award-winning rapper Nasty C and smooth R&B powerhouse Tellaman, have officially confirmed that their long-awaited debut collaborative album, ‘T’s & C’s Apply’, is nearing completion.
Slated for release in July 2026, the extensive project represents a historic moment for their overlapping global fanbases.
The announcement follows the massive success of their mid-year single, "Big Timing"—which originally featured on the deluxe version of Nasty C’s FREE album—serving as a triumphant celebratory teaser for what is to come.
A Vault Opened & A Mood Perfected
The concept for T’s & C’s Apply is a play on words derived from Tellaman and C’s names—a phrase Nasty C jokingly describes as "very on the nose," mimicking the fine print people usually scroll past.
The record has been years in the making. Both artists had been accumulating ideas, hooks, and fragments in what they referred to as "the vault" for nearly a decade.
At the beginning of 2026, the duo officially locked into the studio, sifting through years of unreleased gems and writing new material from scratch.
Musically, the artists describe the 14-to-17-track album as heavily cohesive, deeply atmospheric, and sonically tailored for the season.
"The album is heavily themed, and when you listen to it, it’s going to take you on a journey," Nasty C explains. "It’s one of those albums where you just go from track one, you press play, and you don't skip anything. It’s R&B-leaning. Made for winter."
Two Worlds, One Effortless Chemistry
Having collaborated on massive hits throughout their respective careers (such as "Dance", "Zone", and "Right Now"), the creative chemistry between the two Durban-born brothers is entirely organic.
T’s & C’s Apply deliberately bridges their distinct musical backgrounds: Nasty C’s sharp, world-class lyricism heavily influenced by American hip-hop, and Tellaman’s soulful, introspective R&B sensibilities.
To keep the creative process raw and avoid overthinking, the duo introduced a process called "speedballing"—setting a 15-minute timer to lay down raw, unfiltered thoughts over a beat before refining them later.
The album features self-produced tracks from both artists alongside contributions from close friends and select international producers.
While a handful of high-profile features are locked in, the duo is keeping those names strictly confidential until the official tracklist drop.
The Power of Independence
In a significant move for ownership, T’s & C’s Apply will be released independently through Tall Racks, Nasty C’s label which now functions as a robust distribution platform.
Operating outside the major label machine has allowed both artists full control over their metadata, earnings, and creative direction.
"Being an independent artist teaches you a lot," says Nasty C. "You have to take a lot of the responsibilities back into your own hands, but at the same time, you feel more hands-on with your own career. We’re not chasing validation the same way anymore."
Expressing his ultimate hope for the album, Tellaman adds:
"It's a roller-coaster—happy songs and sad ones, slow and uptempo. What I really want is for it to become part of people's lives. Whenever they think of specific memories down the line, I want part of this album to be attached to that."
Release Rollout
Fans can expect further singles and the official pre-add link to roll out across all digital streaming platforms by late June 2026, ahead of the full July release.
