The world of Pokémon TCGs is about to get even more exciting for South African fans, with a wave of exclusive box sets landing in select stores this November. The special edition collections are a dream for both dedicated collectors and competitive players looking to expand their decks with rare finds.
Each exclusive box features unique cards and powerful Pokémon, available only through specific retail partners in limited quantities. November highlights include the Greninja ex and Kingdra ex Special Collections—exclusive to Amazon South Africa; the Snorlax ex and Blissey ex Special Collections—available only at Nintendo South Africa; and the highly anticipated Team Rocket’s Moltres ex Ultra-Premium Collection—a Toys R Us exclusive.
“These kinds of exclusives are what keep the Pokémon community buzzing. We all get excited about special collections because it’s the thrill of the hunt, so to speak - getting to the stores early, being part of only a few people who manage to get their hands on them,” says Philip Galliford, spokesperson for Solarpop. “It’s not just about owning the cards; it’s the story behind how you got them.”
Whether you're building a battle-ready deck or curating a display-worthy collection, these exclusives bring the buzz that makes a personal, and community collective, Pokémon legacy. Be quick because they won't stay on shelves for long!
