Solarpop’s #gameonthego for Easter weekend
Submitted by: Franco D’Onofrio Save to InstapaperIf you’re looking for fun things to do over the Easter weekend, whether you’re taking the opportunity to explore your surroundings or travelling; quick, easy games are always a group-pleaser.
Below are the top games on the go:
5 second Rule
A quick-thinking game that is easy to play and is compact enough to throw into a backpack. It should be easy to name 3 foods starting with “B”, but can you do it under the pressure of 5 seconds twisting down and other players staring at you? With this game time is not on your side, so players just say what comes to mind and risk ridiculous answers. For 3 to 6 players, ages 8+.
Bananagrams
Bananagrams is a fast, fun word game made of letter tiles stored in a handy, fabric, banana-shaped pouch. No pencil, paper or board is required, and a game can be played in as little as five to ten minutes, for 2 to 4 players. Perfect for #gameonthego
Spot It
Spot It is a game of lightning-fast choices that is ideal for younger children. The game functions on a simple mechanic of fifty-five circular cards, each of which features a number of symbols and has exactly one of those symbols in common with every other card in the deck. With five distinct mini-games, you can be sure that Spot It will be different every time you play. For ages 8 +
Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza
To play Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, each player places a card from their hand face up into a community pile while saying taco/cat/goat/cheese/pizza in player sequence. When the card matches the mantra - boom - everyone slaps their hand on the deck, with the last one to slap picking up the cards. Whoever rids themselves of cards first wins! Special action cards add to the slapstick fun. Ages 8+.
Rory’s Story Cubes
Once upon a time, there was a game where your imagination had no limits. Epic, fabulous, or paranormal adventures... roll the cubes, make a story! Rory’s Story Cubes allow players to tell stories wherever they go. This is a family-friendly game that is ideal for all ages.
EXIT: The Game
If you are great with clues, love solving puzzles and enjoy group play; EXIT: The Game is especially for you. There are various unique games in the series that present an array of imaginary rooms and environments. For 1 to 4 players, ages 12 +
