Fos4is Drops Electrifying Satire - "It’s Not Right Umbane" Shocks the nation (but not the politicians)
Written by: Fos4is Music Save to Instapaper
Brace yourselves, Mzansi! Political lightning has struck – again. But this time, it comes with a beat, a bassline, and one hell of a middle finger to corruption.
Rising lyrical firebrand Fos4is has just dropped “It’s Not Right Umbane”, a music video that’s as politically charged as a faulty Eskom transformer and twice as shocking.
Umbane, the star of the show, is the embodiment of the South African political elite: slick, scandal-proof, and slippery as a greased minister on a Sunday talk show. Allegations? He dodges them like load-shedding schedules dodge logic.
Nepotism? He’s got more cousins on payroll than a wedding guest list in Limpopo.
Incompetence? He turns it into an art form — and then calls it “strategic governance restructuring.”
“We wanted to create something bold, something uncomfortably honest,” says Fos4is, adjusting his shades under a flickering streetlight. “But mostly, we wanted to laugh. Because if you don’t laugh in this country, you’ll start stage-6 crying.”
Shot with a guerilla-style production team, borrowed streetlights, and the occasional backup generator, the “It’s Not Right Umbane” video is a visual riot: part township theatre, part parliament roast, and 100% pure satire. Think Trevor Noah meets Die Antwoord at a Zondo Commission cosplay party.
Fos4is is calling this track the “Unofficial National Anthem for the Official National Circus.” And honestly, it slaps harder than a reshuffle announcement on a Friday afternoon.
So plug in (if there’s power), log on (if there’s data), and watch the chaos unfold at https://youtu.be/nl8rXMvmvv8
Because in South Africa, "It’s Not Right Umbane" — but damn, it’s entertaining.
