Clearwater Mall calls all gamers for the 2026 MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience
Written by: ClearwaterMall Save to Instapaper
Joburg West is next in line for the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience, with Clearwater Mall welcoming competitors, casual players and gaming fans to centre court from 31 July to 2 August.
The event gives players of different experience levels a route into one of South Africa’s biggest gaming tournaments.
As the country’s only nationwide mall-based gaming series, MTN SHIFT brings competitive gaming into familiar public spaces, giving more people the opportunity to take part, watch the matches and discover what tournament play is all about.
EA FC 26™ Tournament
Clearwater’s EA FC 26™ online qualifier takes place on 25 July, with the top four players advancing directly to the Mall Final.
Players can also qualify through the in-centre heats.
The winner will receive a R2,500 Clearwater gift card and a place in the National Football Final, where competitors will play for a share of R50,000.
Second and third place will receive gift cards worth R1,500 and R1,000.
More Ways to Play
There are more chances to play and win throughout the weekend, including Beat Saber, Brawlhalla, Tekken and Street Fighter 6, the Keyboard Rebuild Race, a PC Gaming Zone and free-play stations.
The full MTN SHIFT series carries a prize pool of R350,000.
