Lucrative vacation vocation available

SA rapper icon Jack Parow created a social media storm this week with the launch of South Africa’s laziest job competition.
Parow, who proclaims he has a ‘PhD in chilling during the day’, urged students and recent graduates seeking well-paid holiday employment to apply for SA’s laziest summer job, where languishing in the garden in a deck chair for 10 days is about the most strenuous requirement.
The search for three successful candidates - in Joburg, Durban and Cape Town – was launched by Parow on behalf of Husqvarna South Africa – leading gardening, forestry and agricultural equipment supplier. The lucky finalists will ease gently into the working world, earning a whopping R10 000 from 1 to 10 December for doing, basically, very little.
The only physical exertion required of the incumbents is to set up a sunshade and a deck chair, and apply nimble fingers to the keyboards of their smart phones doing social media broadcasts about their cool new “career”, burning through the five gigabytes of data that are loaded – for free – onto their devices.
Husqvarna and Parow have teamed up to promote how much free time you get when you use their brand new “hands free” robotic lawn mower – the Husqvarna Automower® - which mows your lawn all by itself while you get on with more important things. Things like, in Parow’s words, ‘having a dop and a tjop with my tjommie”.
To Parow, using technology to avoid working up a sweat while still getting the work done is ultra-cool. In this job, where your bank balance goes up while you sit down, ‘being lazy never felt so good’, he says. Check him out here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHkdFNL4AAM
‘The Automower® has revolutionised “working” in the garden, allowing you to do other chores while it does all the mowing for you. Or, of course, you can get on with other fun stuff at the same time,’ says Jacqui Cochran, marketing manager of Husqvarna South Africa.
The Husqvarna robotic Automower® has a charging station and is guided by a boundary wire. It is fully automatic, even returning to the charging station when battery power is low, and starting to mow again once fully charged, without your intervention.
To apply for the vacancies, visit www.laziestsummerjob.co.za, submit a photo of yourself and a small write up saying why you should be chosen. You need to be at least 18 years or older. Entries close at midnight on 01 November 2017.
Husqvarna will pick the top 10 from Durban, Cape Town and Jozi. These entrants will then be asked to submit videos. Out of these, the top five finalists will be chosen from each region. These videos will then be uploaded to the competition site and voting for contestants will begin. Check out #Husqvarna #LaziestSummerJob on Twitter and other social media.
