Kyoto Garden Japanese Restaurant, Cape Town has won the 'Best Seafood Restaurant' award in the Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Awards 2018.
This award was given in recognition of Kyoto Garden’s extensive and exquisite seafood menu, which includes South African wild oysters, West Coast sautéed mussels and yellowfin tuna.
Owner Scott Wood's hands on approach, together with head chef and Sushi Master Koshi Koyama, creates a unique and authentic experience.
Scott commented "We are humbled and honoured to receive this award. My goal has always been to provide Cape Town with a truly authentic Japanese restaurant that utilizes top quality ingredients to create a menu with fresh flavours, visual harmony and elegant simplicity. I feel that we are close to perfecting it!”
The tranquil restaurant, located on bustling Kloof Nek Road, is a ‘must visit’ destination for all foodies. Stepping through the door transports diners to an authentic interior that could be mistaken for a venue in downtown Tokyo.
From the décor to the cuisine, everything is Japanese inspired and done to perfection, lulling diners into a feeling of Zen relaxation.
The Best Seafood Restaurant Award 2018 from Eat Out builds on Kyoto Garden’s previous accolades. In 2014 Kyoto Garden won the Eat Out award for Best Asian Restaurant followed up by 5 stars from the acclaimed Rossouw Guide. Kyoto Garden is widely recognised as the best Japanese restaurant in South Africa.
