Knit & Natter group creates warming winter knits but needs your help

If you’re an avid knitter then this group will appeal to you!
Knit & Nattter, a Woman Zone EVERYWOMAN project, is growing and hopes to get even bigger during the Artscape Women’s Humanity Festival. If wool is your thing and you love to knit or crochet then join us for the ‘STITCH-ALONG’ on August 6 from 3 to 5pm at Artscape.
Over the months the group has been busy producing scarves and, as Women’s Month approaches, are knitting as fast as they can to provide colourful scarves for the residents of the Woodstock NOAH (Neighbourhood Old Age Homes) as a warming winter donation. Following this the aim of the group is to donate crafted wool products to a different charity every three months.
But we need your help! We’re looking for wool donations to help our crafters along. If you have an odd ball (or balls) of wool then we can use them! You can drop them off (along with any knitting needles or crochet hooks you might not be using) at the Woman Zone Library on the Ground Floor of Artscape on a Friday between 12 and 2pm.
This group of passionate crafters has been meeting at the Woman Zone Library on the first Sunday of every month. For some participants it has been a learning experience, for others a way to hone their craft and for all a way to network and connect with like-minded crafters. And such is the enthusiasm that Knit&Natter has developed into a group with a purpose!
So please join them at the STITCH-ALONG with whatever is on your needles or an already made scarf. Tea and natter is guaranteed with this lively creative group so bring yourself, wool, needles and your own refreshments for an inspiring and friendly afternoon.
