Khathu Listhani signs the First Artists under his Record Label

Khathu is known by many as the DJ who makes people dance at events or the comedian that effortlessly puts humour into the things that happen in and around us on a daily. He has been working on his record label which he has been wanting to introduce to the masses. The multifaceted individual recently signed the first artists under his label, Hector Mfanato Nkanyane well known ad DJ Hectic and Siya Lwazi Nkosi, better known as DJ Siya Lwazi. The two talented DJs are both from Tembisa and share and an undeniable love and passion for music. They have a single titled ‘MAX’ which will soon drop under Nowadays Lifestyle.
DJ Hectic started his music career in 2006 when he was only 13 years old. His musical journey came about when he got his first desktop computer. His love for music grew overtime and he became interested in being more technical. He learned how to use turn tables in the early months of 2008. He has shared stages with big names in the industry such as Black Coffee, DJ Shimza, Heavy K, K.O, Kwesta and Vinny Da Vinci. “Being signed by Nowadays Lifestyle feels great. We never, at any point thought that we would one day get signed under a record label. This is an opportunity to develop and learn new things from the label and the music industry as a whole,” says DJ Hectic.
DJ Siya Lwazi describes himself as the distributor of house music and a feel-good vibe. Having grown up listening to tribal house music, all which became infused with his love for old school and commercial house music. Today, this translates into his sets where he picks apart and put together all the pieces of music that he loves. Never afraid to alter his sound, his musical selections are his own therapy. “It feels good to be signed under a record label, it is something that we have never done before. This will definitely push us to make more music and work together as a team,” says DJ Siya Lwazi.
Khathu is an energetic, talented, and passionate individual who believes in making things happen, no matter what. He has been working in the entertainment industry for over ten years and has since been achieving great things. “I am quite happy to have signed my first artists, it means a lot to me and for the record label. I believe that Hector and Siya are both hardworking and that we will create magic together,” he says.
