Last chance to enter CapeGate Shopping Centre’s CG Schools Boerie Braai Challenge Competition with R20k up for grabs

Local high schools, this is your final call to bring the flavour, fire up the school spirit and stand a chance to raise serious money for your school.
CapeGate Shopping Centre is looking for high schools in Kraaifontein, Brackenfell and Durbanville to enter the CG Schools Boerie Braai Challenge Competition, with four schools to be selected for the live finale at CapeGate on Saturday, 5 September 2026.
The overall winning school will take home R20 000 cash to support school initiatives and needs, while four category prizes of R2 500 CapeGate Gift Cards are also up for grabs for Best Gees, Best Looking Stand, Best Taste and Top Sales.
To enter, schools need to submit their Heritage-inspired boerie roll recipe, team details, stand concept, selling price, supporter plan and what they would use the prize money for if they win.
