The 5-star Hotel Izulu in Ballito, will host a Beer Market on Sunday, 27 May 2012 and also feature wines by Newton Johnson. Guests can enjoy a day of food and beer pairing from 12:00 onwards, at a cost of R150.00 per person, while being entertained by the band ‘Afritude’.
Some of the food and beer pairing options are – The Naked Mexican, a sparkling, golden lager with a pure white head paired with tempura prawns with a chilli butter.
Further options include – Whale Tale Ale, a toffee character with a hint of caramel – an unmistakably unique flavour paired with fillet of beef and wild mushrooms. Johnny Gold Weiss is slightly sweet and fruity, with a full body and paired with braised pork with mustard.
Kid’s selection includes burgers, hot dogs and ice cream cones. Hotel Izulu’s Deli will also offer soup, cheese boards, breads, biscuits and Hotel Izulu’s famous fudge.
Newton Johnson wines are available for purchase at a reduced price by the bottle. Wine chillers are also available to purchase at R79 each.
