Darren Badenhorst,  Executive Chef at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek, has been chosen as one of only a handful of leading Chefs to take part in an extraordinary charity dinner, ‘Chef’s Who Share – The Art of Giving.’ This event is in aid of two established charities that support underprivileged children: MAD - Make a Difference and the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation South Africa. ‘Chef’s Who Share’ will take place at the City Hall in Cape Town on 5 September 2013 at a cost of R3, 000 per person. Enquiries can be made via tickets@chefswhoshare.com.

This event is a black-tie dinner, prepared by 14 award-winning South African Chefs working with 7 top Sommeliers, and featuring an auction of 7 original art works by internationally acclaimed artists. Proceeds from ticket sales and the art auction will go to each charity. The Chefs will team up in pairs to create individual menus for groups of just 36 people each.  On the evening, Darren will team up with Executive Chef Chris Erasmus from Pierneef à La Motte

Executive Chef Darren Badenhorst comments: “It’s a great honour not only to be invited to participate in such a prestigious event, but to have the opportunity to work with such well respected South African Chefs. I’m looking forward to being part of the evening as well as supporting the chosen charity organisations. Hopefully through the efforts of all concerned we will make a difference to many lives.”

Enquires for tickets can be made via tickets@chefswhoshare.com.
