Carol Ofori Spotlights Real-Life Triumphs In New Podcast ‘The Comeback’

Award-winning radio personality, author, and voice-over artist Carol Ofori is stepping into a bold new chapter with the launch of her inspirational podcast, ‘The Comeback’—a heartfelt series dedicated to telling the real-life stories of everyday people who have triumphed over extraordinary adversity.
‘The Comeback’ dives deep into the personal journeys of individuals who’ve hit rock bottom, faced life’s toughest moments, and found their way back—stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever.
“In a world flooded with perfection on social media, I wanted to create a space where real stories could be heard—stories of grit, grief, healing, and hope,” says Carol Ofori. “The Comeback is for anyone who needs to be reminded that no matter how hard life gets, it’s possible to rise again.”
The first season features a moving line-up of guests, from unsung heroes to public figures who’ve faced deeply personal battles. Listeners will hear from Davina Nolas, known for her appearance on The Mommy Club: Sugar and Spice, as she opens up about her heartbreaking journey through eight miscarriages on her path to motherhood.
Other episodes include conversations with everyday South Africans who share their own experiences of transformation after trauma. Other guests set to appear on ‘The Comeback’ include Zamani Ndimande, who rose from petrol attendant to music industry powerhouse; Dr Thabani Mazibuko, a rural dreamer turned space technology expert; Jes Foord, a rape survivor who now leads an NPO supporting victims of sexual violence; and Devina Kowlas, who speaks candidly about her journey through loss and resilience on the road to motherhood. Their stories are raw, powerful, and deeply inspiring.
While the names may not always be familiar, the stories will resonate deeply. From financial ruin to personal loss, illness, and identity crises, ‘The Comeback’ reminds us that healing is never linear, and strength often comes from the most unexpected places.
Each episode offers listeners a powerful dose of perspective, resilience, and connection, making ‘The Comeback’ more than a podcast. It’s a community, a safe space, and a much-needed reminder that no one is alone in their struggle.
Carol adds, “This podcast is for anyone who’s ever felt like giving up. These are stories that say: you’re not alone, and yes—you can overcome.”
