Don’t miss any of the Easter holiday fun at Crocworld Conservation Centre on KZN South Coast!

Crocworld Conservation Centre has lots planned for families this Easter holiday, including its popular holiday programme and a new holiday highlight – the Family Fun Easter Trail at Crocworld taking place on Friday, 18 April. Families looking for some outdoor fun, and celebrating nature and wildlife, are encouraged to head to Scottburgh on the KZN South Coast, with something for everyone at Crocworld!

“Crocworld is dedicated to protecting our wildlife and educating families about conservation in a fun and interactive manner, which is why we’re making this an immersive holiday experience to remember!” explains Susan Badat, Crocworld Conservation Centre Manager. “Alongside our captivating holiday programme that continues daily, families will enjoy an outdoor trail experience and Easter egg hunt, great outdoor market, and ziplining fun – all while raising funds for a good cause.”

Family Fun Easter Trail at Crocworld

Adventurous families and outdoor enthusiasts will compete in this fun Easter trail which is being held in partnership with the Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW).

“We are proud to partner with CROW on this exciting event and will be hosting fundraising activities throughout the day,” says Badat. “All proceeds raised on the day will go towards supporting CROW's vital conservation work.”

Date: Friday, 18 April 2025 (Good Friday)

Time: 4pm to 6pm

Cost: R100 per person | Free for children U3

• Trail Experience: Participants will meander through a designated trail among crocodiles (safely secured of course!) and other wildlife, while solving riddles in search of Easter eggs and participating in other fun activities.​

• Reptile Interaction: There will be fantastic interactive experiences with reptiles throughout the trail to learn more about these important creatures.

• Jikaleza Outdoor Adventures: Fly through the skies among the trees on this epic aerial zipline adventure! Jikaleza hours will be extended until 8pm for the Easter Glow Trail with specials and discounts for one-night only.

• Bespoke Market: Explore the lovely craft market which will have kid-friendly food, drinks, and treats on sale, as well as unique, eco-friendly items.

Daily Crocworld Fun and Interactions

Throughout April, children can also enter the Crocworld Colouring-in Competition – tickets cost R10 per entry and there are great prizes to be won!

Running throughout the Easter holidays will also be Crocworld’s daily Animal Interactions and Feeding to be enjoyed by all ages. Don’t miss the chance to check out the world-famous Henry who, at 124 years old, is believed to be the oldest known Nile crocodile in captivity. Not to be outdone is his best friend Colgate, who’s chasing up the top title at some 90+ years old!

• 10am: Reptile interaction with either a snake or a lizard
• 11am: Crocodile feeding
• 11:30am: Crocodile handling
• 2pm: Vulture feedings (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays)
• 2pm: Maribou stork feedings (Mondays and Wednesdays)
• 3pm: Crocodile feeding
• 3:30 pm: Crocodile handling

Ranger Guide by Crocworld and WildED

Visitors to Crocworld can also look out for the exciting Ranger Guide for kids launched by Crocworld and WildED in collaboration with Wild Alliance Africa. This interactive booklet is a great Crocword souvenir that will last long after their visit. Each booklet includes educational enrichment activities focusing on the iconic animals found at Crocworld, as well as the indigenous fauna and flora.  

Fish Eagle Café

Visitors to Crocworld Conservation Centre can also grab a bite to eat and take in immaculate ocean views from the wraparound deck of Fish Eagle Café. Executive Chef and Manager, Morné van Zyl and his team prepare fantastic meals for kids and adults, with refreshing drinks and treats. Patrons will also get a free marshmallow Easter egg with every Slush Puppy bought this holiday! And, with winter approaching, visitors can look out for the globally renowned Sardine Run that passes by the KZN South Coast in the cooler months.
