Aston Wylie Kicks Off 2023 With His Feel-Good Pop Anthem ‘Butterflies’

From the day he won over hearts around the country as a contestant on the second season of The Voice SA, Aston Wylie has been on a journey to tell stories and share his feelings through his music. The star already has hits like ‘My Love’ and ‘Broken and Beautiful’ under his belt and starts 2023 off on a fresh note as he releases his new feel-good anthem ‘Butterflies’.
The South African-born, Dubai-based multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter is known for his live looping performance style and his uplifting pop songs are a breath of fresh air. ‘Butterflies’, Aston’s first single in nearly three years, is a song about meeting a special someone and instantly knowing that the relationship is something special by the feelings one experiences when they’re around.
"First feelings may be fleeting but first moments last in our memories forever. ‘Butterflies' talks about those exciting, and sometimes reckless, moments we live out in the early stages of any relationship. Don't worry though, every now and then those feelings re-appear, and you'll know all about it, when you feel those butterflies.” Says Aston, who is currently on a jam-packed gig schedule in Dubai.
‘Butterflies’ was written by Aston and produced by Ewald Jansen van Rensburg who gave the song its infectious energy and catchy melodies. The singer also shot an official music video for ‘Butterflies’ which he is looking forward to sharing soon. Aston has, however, teased the clip on his official YouTube page.
Hailing from the humid shores of South Africa’s Eastern Cape, Aston has gone on to tour South America and Asia throughout his impressive career. After releasing three studio albums, appearing on The Voice South Africa and collaborating with the likes of Majozi and Richard Brokensha, Aston took his career to new heights after moving to Dubai where he is a seasoned performer today.
‘Butterflies is available on all major digital music platforms now. Download or stream it here: https://linktr.ee/astonwylie
