Cape Town property developer Blok officially launched its 21st development, ELEVENONB, on Thursday evening 6 November 2025, marking the occasion with the unveiling of Art on the Blok 2.0 – Open Art, a freely accessible, open-air gallery in the heart of the West City.
Coinciding with First Thursdays, the event transformed the ELEVENONB site, the future home of the mixed-use residential and retail development, into an urban art park celebrating paint, ink, movement, and music. The evening showcased commissioned mural from Palm Black, and featured more than 20 artists, whose work will remain on display through February 2026.
The proudly local artists who are showcasing their work at the urban art park include Yolande Schoeman, Bongani Khumalo, Arthur Brigg, Ally Britz, Qhamani Bangani, Jako Pretorius – OKAJ, Tariq Munshi, Mathabela William Madiela - Digital Bushman, Thami Nzolo, Mpumelelo Buthelezi, Malebogo Molokoane, Adri Botha, Angelique Cornelison, Cassian Robbertze, Emily Rice, Endinalo Moni, Ruan Cornelissen, Jana Le Roux, Yvette Polovin, Jared Aufrichtig and Robert Rorich.

Guest speaker Rashiq Fataar, CEO of Our Future Cities, joined the evening to reflect on how art and design contribute to inclusive city-building and the regeneration of Cape Town’s West City precinct.
