Through our YesCares initiative, we have committed to showing up for organisations doing powerful, on-the-ground work to uplift and protect South Africa’s most vulnerable children.

Over the past few years, YesPlay has contributed to three key organisations that work tirelessly to provide care, nutrition, and opportunity for children across the Western Cape.

Each of these organisations was chosen not because of size or visibility, but because of their impact. Their work is quiet, steady, and transformative.

They do not chase recognition. They show up every single day to give children structure, hope, and the freedom to just be children. They work in the spaces that are easy to overlook but impossible to replace.

Little Lambs Christian Daycare and Educare -  https://www.littlelambs.org.za/

Located in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay, Little Lambs offers early education and daily care for over 300 children aged 1 to 6. Many of these children come from homes where access to preschool or nutritious meals is limited. The organisation not only provides a safe and structured learning environment, but also ensures each child receives two meals a day and a strong foundation for formal schooling.

Little Lambs also empowers the local community by training and employing staff from within the township. Their work represents the kind of sustainable, locally led impact we are proud to support.

YesPlay has donated R150 000 to Little Lambs since 2023.

HOKISA (Homes for Kids in South Africa)  -  https://hokisa.co.za/

Based in Masiphumelele, HOKISA provides full-time residential care for children affected by or living with HIV or AIDS. Every child is placed in their home through the Magistrate’s Court when no suitable family care is available.

HOKISA offers more than a roof and a bed. Their team delivers daily meals, access to education, emotional counselling, and dedicated healthcare within a loving, family-style home. Many of the staff members come from the local community and are trained in child development and HIV awareness, creating jobs while deepening the care network.

YesPlay has contributed R150 000 to HOKISA over the last three years.

Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA) - https://psfa.org.za/

Established in 1958, PSFA works to reduce child hunger in under-resourced schools across the Western Cape. To date, they have served over two billion meals, providing daily nutrition to children at primary, secondary, and special-needs schools, as well as early childhood development centres and centres for orphaned and vulnerable children.

Their work directly impacts school attendance, learning performance, and general wellbeing. For many children, it is the only guaranteed meal of the day. PSFA also trains and equips communities with kitchen infrastructure and food preparation skills.

YesPlay has donated a total of R200 000 to PSFA since 2023.
