Lenovo ThinkCentre Neo 50q Gen 4 Tiny Desktop PC Packs Big Punch, Now Available From DCC Technologies
Submitted by: Samantha Cook
Proving that good things indeed come in small packages is the newest Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 Tiny desktop PC, available now to the channel from official distributor, DCC Technologies.
With workspace at a premium, especially due to office downsizing and work-from-home policies, the ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 Tiny brings top class performance in a tiny form factor that’s just over 1ℓ in size and weighs a mere 1.11kg.
It does so without sacrificing processing power, by including the latest 13th generation Intel Core i5 processor – the i5-13420H (12M Cache, up to 4.60GHz) with integrated Intel UHD Graphics. This speedy processor is paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM, working in unison to provide all the capabilities required by business professionals, taking care of spreadsheets, documents, PDFs, browsing and more - without breaking a sweat.
When it comes to storage, there’s a 256GB (M.2 2280 NVMe G4) solid-state drive (SSD) onboard, which means no more waiting for a slow PC to boot up at the start of the day. And to make sure your internet connection is as fast as possible; Lenovo includes super-quick Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
For some, the most important feature of the ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 Tiny will be the number of ports on offer, allowing this device to connect to up to three independent displays.
It does so thanks to a multitude of options at both the front and the back of the unit. For easy access, the front provides 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Always On and 5V@2.1A charging) and 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (support data transfer and 5V@0.9A charging), while the rear of the device offers 1x HDMI 2.1 TMDS, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 as well as Ethernet.
To ensure ever-important security, the neo 50q Gen 4 Tiny includes Lenovo’s ThinkShield, a suite of security features that covers everything from hardware, software, network and connectivity, also offering device backup and recovery and remote management.
South Africans will appreciate the Kensington security slot which allows the unit to be physically secured. The Lenovo is also VESA Mount compatible, meaning it can be mounted to the back of VESA-compatible displays.
“The Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 Tiny is truly an impressive feat of engineering, providing a full and highly competent desktop experience in an incredibly small package,” says Samantha Cook, Lenovo Computing Product Specialist at DCC Technologies. “With the power of the latest generation Intel Core i5 processor inside, I can see a high demand for the ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 Tiny in South African offices.”
The Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q Gen 4 Tiny desktop PC is available from DCC Technologies today, with a one-year onsite warrantee.
