Canon I-Sensys multi-function colour Laser Printers for Small Businesses now available from DCC
Submitted by: Sasha EndemannIt’s full speed ahead for those looking for the newest multi-function laser printers from Canon. The new i-SENSYS MF657Cdw and i-SENSYS MF754Cdw colour laser multi-function printers are now available for the channel from Drive Control Corporation (DCC), the company’s official distributor for South Africa. These are ideal for small to medium businesses or individuals working from home, who are demanding the latest laser colour printing features from a machine that can also copy, scan and fax.
In line with business needs, Canon’s latest i-SENSYS All-In-Ones are security conscious, with Secure PIN restricting access to possible sensitive documents. Moreover, advanced system verification protects the printers from hacking and virus threats as soon as the machines are started up.
Both these i-SENSYS units include a 12.7cm colour touch-screen which helps to oversee a significant amount of functionality directly from the machine. This includes out-the-box cloud connectivity, compatible with Google Drive, DropBox and OneDrive, with the i-SENSYS MF754Cdw going one step further by also offering support for Microsoft’s Universal Print. Moreover, these units are wireless and able to print from smartphones via Canon’s PRINT Business app and iOS AirPrint.
Fast printing speeds are a given, with the i-SENSYS MF754Cdw managing 33 A4 pages per minute (ppm), and the i-SENSYS MF657Cdw printing at 21 ppm. Similar speeds are on offer when copying documents (33 ppm, 21 ppm respectively), with both printers capable of automatic double-sided copying and printing.
The i-SENSYS MF754Cdw’s robust recommended monthly print volume of 750 - 4000 pages per month will come in useful for any business for whom quantity is important. Similarly, the i-SENSYS MF657Cdw’s range of 250 - 2500 pages per month will certainly be sufficient for most needs.
For businesses looking to scan quantities of documents, the i-SENSYS MF754Cdw manages fast double-sided scanning at 80ipm (mono, 300x600dpi) while the MF657Cdw captures 47ipm under similar specifications. Both units can scan in colour and are capable of single pass duplex scanning.
The workhorse nature of the printers is reflected in the paper input capabilities, with both offering a 250-sheet cassette plus a 50-sheet automatic document feeder. The i-SENSYS MF754Cdw goes one step further by including a 50-sheet multi-purpose tray, with the added ability to increase the input capacity with an optional 550-sheet paper feeder.
Vincent Modikoane, Canon Product Specialist at Drive Control Corporation believes it’s especially small and medium businesses that can benefit the most from Canon’s i-SENSYS multi-function printers. “The reliable nature of the i-SENSYS range combines well with the impressive functionality found in these Canon multi-function printers."
The i-SENSYS MF657Cdw and i-SENSYS MF754Cd are security conscious, come with impressive printing and copying speeds, plus can access documents stored in the cloud. They will be a valuable asset to any business or work-from-home individual looking to upgrade their office setup,” Modikoane states.
