Sanbona Announces Opening Dates Post Flood
Submitted by: The P.R Team Save to InstapaperDue to the recent and unexpected flooding experienced at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, the three lodges that are temporarily closed in order to do a full assessment of all buildings, predominantly the access roads throughout the reserve, will soon reopen.
Explorer Camp is fully operational, Gondwana Family Lodge and Tilney Manor should reopen from 3 February 2014 and Dwyka Tented Lodge is expected to be operational from 15 April 2014, subject to weather conditions.
Industry and guests that are presently booked to stay at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve in the coming weeks are being notified by the reservations department.
Comments Sanbona Wildlife Reserve spokesperson: “The flood caused damage mainly to access roads and therefore it was not possible to offer game drives or access to the individual lodges. Daily repairs and inspections are taking place around the clock to ensure the reserve and lodges are fully operational as soon as possible. Please keep up to date via the Sanbona website www.sanbona.com and on social media, Facebook and Twitter, as progress will be reported and guests kept up to date.”
