Prestigious Investec SA Open Championship Returns To Blair Atholl
Submitted by: Dionne CollettIt’s official! The Investec South African Open Championship is returning to Blair Atholl Golf & Equestrian Estate in Lanseria, Johannesburg, with the 113th edition to be played from 30 November to 3 December 2023.
The DP World Tour will present this co-sanctioned event with the Sunshine Tour and the tournament is always a highlight on the yearly golf schedule.
The championship Gary Player Signature Design course will again provide a stern challenge to the top professionals from around the world.
According to the General Manager of Blair Atholl, Steve van Greunen, preparation for the event has already started in earnest. “We are extremely proud to host the event again, and we are grateful to Investec, the Sunshine Tour, the DP World Tour and other sponsors for the opportunity to showcase not only our magnificent golf course, but the unparalleled living our residents enjoy at Blair Atholl.”
Thomas Abt, Commissioner of the Sunshine Tour, said, “Blair Atholl was a wonderful host of our national Open in 2022, and we look forward to returning to this iconic venue.
