The Sunflower Fund calls on healthy South Africans to support the SABMR
Submitted by: MyPressportal TeamOn Saturday, 17 September, World Marrow Donor Day will be celebrated in 52 different countries throughout the world to highlight the global movement to create awareness for the desperate need not only for South Africans but the world to join their respective Registries.
The Sunflower Fund calls upon healthy, committed South Africans between the ages of 18 and 45 to pledge their support and join the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR).
The main objective of World Marrow Donor Day is to raise awareness among the general public and decision-makers about being a stem cell donor and the impact of blood stem cell transplantation on patients’ lives.
