Shudufhadzo Musida partners with Panda to destigmatise mental health disorders
Submitted by: MyPressportal Team18 October 2022- Shudufhadzo Musida (Shudu) who announced that she’d focus on raising awareness of mental health disorders when she took the Miss South Africa crown in 2020, has partnered with Panda, a mental health support app that gives users access to online tools, activities, and support as one of its brand ambassador.
Through this partnership, Shudu will continue to advocate for mental health by extending her Instagram #MindfulMondaysto the Panda app. Her followers will have access to free talks on topics including, but not limited to, how to start individual mental health journeys, where to find the right care, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, the power of support groups and community, and the state of mental health in South Africa.
“I was bullied as a child. From an outgoing, outspoken little girl, I became quiet and reserved with low self-esteem. I never spoke about my mental health. It was unfortunately considered a taboo topic that was often ignored or shamed. I never want anyone to have to go through what I went through. I’ve found comfort in a new mental health app called Panda which aims to make mental healthcare accessible to all. Often, we only seek support at a moment of distress when things just feel a little too overwhelming. With Panda, you can exercise your mental health regularly vs waiting for things to get worse before you start to pay attention.” she says.
Follow Shuduon Instagram for a promo code that allows followers six free chat support sessions when signing up to the Panda app. Search for “join Panda” in the iOS and Android app stores.
