Planet Fitness In Partnership With Discovery Vitality Brings the Hybrid Games back to Cavendish Square
Written by: Ceri Hannan Save to InstapaperSimulation Saturday is coming to Cavendish Square on the 04 July 2026.
On 04 July 2026, the Cavendish Square parking lot will be transformed into a full race-day arena as Planet Fitness hosts one of its most anticipated Season 1 Hybrid Games events.
Heats will kick off at 09:00 and the energy will keep building right through to 13:00. The music will be loud, the atmosphere will be electric, and the only question is whether you’ll be on the start line or cheering from the sidelines, both are more than welcome.
And if you happen to be at Cavendish Square for an entirely different reason that morning? Consider yourself lucky. This is the kind of thing you’ll stop and watch whether you planned to or not.
More Than A Competition — It’s An Experience
Simulation Saturday is not a quiet event. It is a full sensory experience, the kind that spills out of its venue and pulls people in from every direction.
Expect a carefully curated soundtrack from our highly requested DJ, DJ BamBam, who keeps the energy high from the first heat to the last sprint, a pumped crowd that gets louder with every finisher, and the kind of atmosphere that turns spectators into supporters within minutes of arriving.
This is what Planet Fitness has always believed: that training is more powerful when it’s shared. When the music is right, when the crowd is behind you, and when the clock is running, people find something extra.
Simulation Saturday at Cavendish Square is built to create exactly that moment.

In Their Own Words
“Planet Fitness has always been about more than just the club. It’s about community, about people showing up for themselves and for each other. The Hybrid Games is that spirit made visible. When you bring Simulation Saturday to a space like Cavendish Square, you’re not just hosting a competition. You’re creating a moment.
We’re not just South Africa’s #1 training club because of our facilities. We’re #1 because of the people who walk through our doors every single day, and this is how we celebrate them.”
