Sebokeng Hospital in a state of neglect
Submitted by: MyPressportal Teamby Dady Mollo Cllr - DA Emfuleni Caucus Leader
Patients are suffering due to the poor condition of Sebokeng Hospital. Air conditioners in the hospital are out of order, the roof is leaking, there are a large number of unfilled vacancies at the hospital, and damaged server wires have not been repaired in four years.
Some of the wards are without warm water, which means that patients have to bathe in cold water. Nurses are forced to fetch warm water with buckets from other wards. Reports also reveal a shortage of medication at Sebokeng Hospital.
This hospital is in a very bad state and the MEC for Health in Gauteng, Gwen Ramokgopa, together with the hospital management, must see to it that this hospital is refurbished as soon as possible.
Our people should not suffer while ANC officials are only concerned with enriching themselves. I call on the MEC to intervene as this matter requires urgent attention.
The people of Emfuleni have been through a lot under the ANC administration. It is time they vote for a party that cares about their needs. The DA is the only party that can bring about total change in Emfuleni.
